Wedding videography for LGBTQ+ couples

Having worked in communications with multiple LGBTQ+ charities over the years, I’ve known a fair few queer couples who’ve tied the knot. Some of those weddings have been pretty traditional affairs, with all the usual expectations established by heterosexual weddings. Others have been much less conventional, remixing elements along the way. There’s a certain freedom that comes with creating an event that has only been possible in the UK for the last decade.

The additional challenges faced by LGBTQ+ couples

One thing I’ve heard repeatedly, though, is that the wedding industry is strongly orientated towards straight couples. While there are increasing numbers of professionals in the industry who cater specifically to LGBTQ+ couples, I’ve heard a few horror stories of micro-aggressions and thoughtless foot-in-mouth situations. When one or both of the couple are trans or gender non-conforming, these issues can be amplified even more.

On your wedding day, these things be the last of your worries.

A safe, warm, and trustworthy videographer

So, what can I do about it? Well, I come with ten years of experience of working with LGBTQ+ people, and I am one myself! I recognise that there is value in working with a professional who is already aware of the challenges faced by our community, and can head them off before they become problems.

You deserve a stress-free wedding day, and I believe I can contribute to that.
